FAQ
How does powRSS work?
The powRSS feed aggregator is inspired by projects like the CAPCOM aggregator for Gemini and Bongusta for Gopherspace. It parses a list of RSS feeds submitted by its readers and generates a daily feed with the latest updates in each site going back a month.
Up to 100 sites are selected each month, with every month showing different sites to provide all sites a fair chance of being discovered.
You can find more information about the background of the project here.

What’s an RSS feed?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a web feed readable by computers. A web feed is a file on your website used for providing readers with frequently updated content. When your website has an update like a new blog post, readers can receive the update in a feed aggregator like powRSS.
With RSS, subscribing doesn’t need email! You won’t be asked to give away your email address to any blog or site, and that site won’t be able to sell your data to anyone. RSS simply visits or opens the blog’s RSS file and checks for new writings or media, and will show it to you in a human-readable way.
