The Folkmoss Logs
The Folkmoss Logs
I'm the Folkmoss. I'm a human from Earth and this is my weblog, or, how I like to call it, my living web book. This is a place where I write about nostalgia, personal experiences, media in general and interesting things I find on and offline. This space is a personal experiment, so consistency won't be the focus here. I post mainly in English but you'll see eventual Portuguese (my mother tongue) floating around sometime.

Last edited 6 minutes ago. So hopefully this will be a quick post. I've been a bit more active online — as in, not just quietly reading blog posts, but yapping on message boards and stuff. Because of that I also discovered a bunch of new corners that I wanted to share here and give a general update on the state of...
Today was is a holiday in Brazil, and me and my friend were feeling pretty down, só we went to the beach together to stare at the ocean and feel the sun.
Last edited 5 minutes ago. I have nothing to do on my phone anymore. I feel that urge during the day to take out phone so I'm either not bored or procrastinating something I don't wanna do and... I have nothing to do on it. Without social media on it anymore, and now without my main game I used to play on Apple...
Last edited 7 minutes ago. I socialized so much recently. Nothing like getting back to my roots I guess. And my kitty is with me in the move back home. I got my two cats now living with me under the same roof, and it feels good. Also I voted yesterday, despite the outcomes… You can reply via email or leave a message...
Last edited 15 minutes ago. So the deed is done. The 11 year long relationship is over. There was no arguing or fighting or begging. Just a lot of crying and sobbing and bleary eyes. We took a walk through the park nearby, and I thought that was fitting. That was one of the first things we did after I moved in with...
Last edited 7 minutes ago. If you have the answer, please send me a letter, I greatly appreciate it. If you wanna remain anonymous or send me a cute doodle, you can head to my straw.page. And if you ask me if I spent a good hour of my afternoon tweaking with that page instead of facing my problems, you'd be...
Last edited 2 minutes ago. Have been using Linux for the past, I wanna say, 10 months now? Yeah, something like that. A little under a year for sure. And it's been pretty sweet. I must preface this by saying that I'm just a regular girlie. I'm not a dev or an artist or anything like that, I just use my computer to...
Damn. My chronic sleepiness turning into insomnia caught off guard. It shouldn't have, but it did. It's not like I'm unfamiliar with it, but--wow. Truly wasn't expecting this turn of events. As I lay awake, waiting to feel any tug of the eyelids, I can't help but think think think. It's what I do best. So many...
Why cant I like things a normal amount? Why so they have to be this all-consuming thing? Why am I back at maladaptive daydreaming? Why this yt channel is hurting me so much? Why can't I live a life, why do I just keep thinking about living it, about doing stuff that's impossible and out of my reach? And even thw...
Last edited 5 minutes ago. Health stuffWent to the doctor today. As in, I scheduled an appointment and *actually *showed up. Can I get a round of applause? I did like the doctor. She didn't dismiss what I had to say about ADHD, even though she was a gynecologist. She took it into consideration, gave me several pages...
Last edited 7 minutes ago. Fair warning: unfiltered rants on depression, death, grief, parentification, and hormonal changes (perimenopause, menopause, body image). I've got so many things I want to write about and post here, so many monologues going on in my head that I want to commit to screen, and yet... I don't...
So sad I don't even wanna watch what I wanna watch, u feel me? For my own future reference, here's a list of videos I find interesting/want to watch but won't bc depression: Mary Cassatt: The Impressionist Who Painted The Mind by Nerdwriter1 Inside the Life of Monocle Journalist Fernando in Soho, London by NEVER TOO...
