I feel very peaceful whenever I write on paper, especially using a fountain pen. The smooth flow of ink from the pen nib to the paper, while it moves against the roughness of the paper, is so stress-relieving that I can hardly express it in a few words. What I can tell you is how I feel. And I love it. From the very...

This is a Christmas child story for my five year old niece. So you can just ignore it.

Yesterday I came across this YouTube video explaining what exactly a GPT does behind the scene. It kinda reveals the mystery of the black box, which is known as Grokking. This is a weird phenomenon which indicates when a GPT model moves from learning to creating. Interestingly, this transition is not immediate....

Holidays are here, and I am trying to finish my work for this year. In the meantime, whenever I have some free time, I feel an urge to write more blog posts about my life in 2025. This urge to write is stronger whenever I come across blog posts on powRSS and BearBlog about the conclusion of the year. It is so...

After finishing two seasons of The Witcher, I was so excited about the show that all I wanted to do was hear and think about it all the time. Tempted, I decided to watch Blood Origin. It's a prequel with only four episodes. The timeline of this show is way back in time, before Geralt’s existence. This world belongs...

I had two important sets of thoughts today: first, I learned from Loren about online attacks on several npm packages that support 11ty, the static site generator this blog is built on. It worried me because it could infect my personal laptop, and if I couldn't take care of it, I would need to move away from it,...

During my whole academic career—which includes the time I spent as a student from high school to doctorate, and now as a postdoctoral researcher—one of the problems I regularly struggled with is comparing myself to other people, especially to my colleagues. In high school, it used to be my classmates whom I was...

Since the day I started my journey of self-hosting, I had been eagerly waiting for the day when Plex would offer a discount on its lifetime subscription. I was so excited about it that there was rarely any week when I didn't check the prices. Finally, last week, I saw the Black Friday deal, which was offering a...

The story line of this movie is set in 60-70s on some other Earth. Fantastic four are celebrated superheroes and people love them. Then one day, on this happy planet, Silver-Surfer arrives, which means Galactus is coming. The rest of the movie follows Fantastic Fours planning to defeat the Galactus. It was a nice...

Second part of the triology, Creation of Gods. I had higher expectations from this part than the first one, but it fell short of them. However, similar to first part, the graphics are nice so I will still give it 3/5 stars
