Chapter 1... is safe to say that I understood 50% of this... I hope that improves the more I read.
As 2026 dawns upon our beautiful green blue globe, I reflect over what I wish to build in the coming year. While I have goals already set back in summer 2025 — goals I look forward to — I wish to make a conscious effort to nurture the writer in me, and incidentally, the reader. Goodbye 2025, Hello 2026! While I am not in the mood to conjure a full summary of the year gone by, I still wish to write something quick to mark the passing of the moment. 2025 has been a year of constants. This is such a beautiful book about finding home away from home. It made me feel I'm not alone when I look at the skyline of the Rotterdam bridges and think every single time "ik ben thuis" (I'm home).
