- Estonian – Ron"> Since the weather outside is still veeeery cold for April, I thought instead of chasing it away, we should embrace it. So we’re putting our winter hats on, we’re grabbing our mittens and we go to Estonia! (There are 4ºC in Tallinn at the moment). But we travel only digitally, to meet Ron and his...

An ambitious salesman will do anything for that big promotion he’s been chasing, but inevitably, he will learn that there is no such thing as the perfect crime. Another great recommendatino from Elanor, another movie directed by Álex de la Iglesia, starring Guillermo Toledo, Mónica Cervera and Enrique Villén, among...

a half-assed review -- Need for Speed II (1997)"> This is the first retro-game I’ve played. I discovered it in an internet cafe that had less powered computers, back in 2003. While NFS II was only six year old at the time, comparing it to the then-current NFS Underground really made it look dated. The Special...

An anthology of 5 different cab drivers in 5 American and European cities and their remarkable fares on the same eventful night. Five stories, in five different cabs, in five different countries, happening at the same time. It’s absurd and funny, and it doesn’t have a grand finale, but still manages to impress...

A “Man From the Future” arrives at a diner in Los Angeles where he must recruit the precise combination of disgruntled patrons to join him on a one-night quest to save the world from the terminal threat of a rogue artificial intelligence. What a fun quirky little movie! Sure, it’s mixing like 6-7 (SIXSEVEEENN)...

a half-assed review -- Road & Track Presents: The Need for Speed (1994)"> Series Intro Because I have a lot of time on my hands (I do not), I’ve decided it’s a good thing to start playing all the Need For Speed titles in 2026 and see how they hold up in this millennium. This was supposed to be a bigger post at some...

John Davidson: diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome at a young age which alienated him from his peers, he struggled with a condition few people had witnessed. Excellent little emotional film that puts Tourette’s under the spotlight. I knew of John Davidson from other things, but it was refreshing to see this. It...
