I’ve returned to my old Keyboard Dressup project, which I made last year as a fun little javascript thing to try out different keycap colour schemes. This time I’m repurposing it to work with my upcoming Gardenfall set. The goals are: see: the original project as it currently exists Visualize the set on different...

It feels weird to fire up the old personal website blog after straight up ignoring it for five months. It feels bad. What’s happened? Destiny Probably the most significant life update is that I started playing Destiny 2. I don’t recommend reaching my comically horrific levels of obsession, but otherwise D2 is very...

I stashed a ‘redesign’ in progress on another branch to write this post. I need to think more in increments rather than trying to do fewer but bigger changes. Incremental progress would be better than zero progress. I felt like writing this note because I’m struggling with my ‘redesign’ and my larger website...

Keycaps It’s coming along. I pixel pushed a lot of icons. the lq photo filter is deliberate Hourly Comic Day This is the second year in a row I didn’t really do it. It feels kind of disappointing! But I’ll let myself be. 12am. 2am + 3am. I was working on my keyset at this time. Theme The last 10% of this theme...

The most notable thing I did was make a new theme. Other than that, I built a new keyboard, am designing a keyset, and am still playing a lot of Destiny. Tumblr I made a new blog theme, which you can see on my blog here. I used to do this back in the day (it’s my web design origin story) but haven’t for a few years...

Trying out weeknotes again, i.e. a review of the last two weeks of Stuff I Did. Mavo I’m giving Mavo another try, after first trying it three years ago. I’m using it to build a media catalogue. Mavo is neat because it allows me to create repeatable components and fill in content on the frontend, rather than writing...

In the year of the pandemic, I made new friends online. I have a job that I like. I played a lot of games, which I wrote about here. I purged my blog, created this new one, and redesigned it. I didn’t go to NYC. I sold my art online. I shopped online a lot, thinking of future plans for the After Times. I’m thankful...

Here are all the games I’ve played this year. It’s mostly PC games from Steam, with a couple of Switch games. 5D Chess with Multiverse Time Travel lmao. what a concept. I failed to make any progress in a game with the computer because I don’t know how to get to checkmate, things just kept progressing with like six...

Here is my keyboard: Ergodox EZ keyboard with DSA Magic Girl keycaps. More detailed specs at the end. Configuration My goal was to be able to do as much stuff as possible with only the left side of my keyboard, save for typing actual words. So for example, I put an Enter key, F5, and navigation keys like Home and...

In August, I went back to Seattle with my partner, for four days this time. (See May photos). Day 1 We walked around the city and pier, and did some shopping. I pushed my Tri-X film +1 and didn’t like the results. Researching where to go. Day 2 We visited the library (beautiful!) and the art museum (not pictured)....

Visiting Victoria, BC. Mix of film + digital photos.

Last month, I went to Seattle for two days for a workshop. I arrived on Sunday around noon. Since everything closed early, my plan was to go to the art museum and then the public library. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t have time to go to Pike Place while it was open. Seattle Art Museum What if I can’t find the art...
