The Saga Otaimatsu Torch Festival is held every March 15 at Seiryo-ji Temple, celebrating Buddha's passing. Three 7 meter tall torches are set on fire, with giant flames and embers flying everywhere. In fact, it's said to be good luck if embers land on your clothes....
