The sun is setting but the lights are already on at Osaka Station with its enormous canopy, and the surrounding buildings. 日が沈みつつあるが、大阪駅とその巨大なキャノピー、そして周辺のビルではすでに灯りがついている。

These boats travel up and down the river, offering food and drinks to passengers cruising the river in flat bottomed yakatabune boats. I've photographed them many times before, but the stark contrast of bright early morning sunlight against the deep shadows of the rest of the river made this special....
