Still can't believe this exists and I wish there was more of it You might recall that earlier this year I wrote about Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - Re:Build, a stage play adaptation of the first season of 2007's Mobile Suit Gundam 00. I had a blast with it, and apparently so did audiences because they ended up doing a...

Hey two quick reminders if you're new here or have mainly been reading this blog for the blog (no shade) Hello hi, I'm MSD: in addition to the photographer, artist and blogger I am here, I am also the frontperson of this chiptune/orchestral indie music band collective thing called Curious Quail (hence the blog's...

(which in hindsight will be replacing "elephant in the room" as a phrase moving forward) If you've been reading my blog for a while or following me anywhere I'm still active on social media, a thing that's come up multiple times and never remarked upon is that in some cat photos, there's a thing that's just out of...

TALKIN SHIT Not my finest entry in the series but I'm nothing if not a bird photo opportunist. Speaking of - I'm pretty sure this is our resident red tail (we named them Tobias) but I can't be 100% certain since I don't have all the tells yet and only got these two very brief photos. The tail feather coloring though...

More or Less If anything, he looks as surprised as I am at the notion of being awake. Or surprised at the notion that I haven't done a true "Snowapple says good morning" post since December. He's been in other posts but the format itself really stopped a long time ago and I hadn't even realized. The sleeping habits...

I'm so sorry for blogging about blogging, you can skip this one but there IS a good cat photo at the end lmao As usual, there will be unrelated photos sprinkled about my post because I'm highly visual; enjoy some birds on a power line from the photo backlog! I’ve mentioned before that I've gone full hog into RSS and...

I thought this was poison ivy because I'm a west coast idiot at heart We moved to our New England place in the fall of '21 so it wasn't until the following spring that these vine plants with three leaves in the pattern I'd thought was a shoe-in for poison ivy danger (which I'd never seen before, coming from the west...

Happy Birthdaversary to all whom celebrate (it's us, we are celebrating) 21 years ago today, my now-partner Della was celebrating her 21st birthday with only her camera and film, a pair of jeans, a shirt, a pair of chucks, her passport and a $10 white dress with black polka dots that she bought at target (we'll get...

Moon's Haunted. Last night while I was taking out the trash, I was greeted by this view from my front door. Like, opened the door and there was the moon, peeking through cloud and tree . Honestly, this is great by itself but the 150mm and exposure doesn't really do it justice, so I grabbed my other camera and popped...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop (and that stop has come!) I got sick last week and it kinda messed up my rhythm; I've traditionally been able to be sick and keep drawing these but I had enough other stuff going on that when I woke up last Monday morning I realized...I hadn't...

Dude have I mentioned how much I love doing dishes now As usual, photo completely unrelated; there was a bitchin' sunset the other night and I massively underexposed while trying to get it shining on the cat mansion at the window Welcome back to another JulyReply; I haven't done as many as I'd hoped this month but...

Grab the slider and go on an adventure with me It's weird that I only have one other photo of this stick on the blog. I must have tagged some of them wrong?? This thing is trapped in a power line that I see when I go on walks and I love photographing it. It's been there as long as I've lived here and looks like the...
