In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Christ, a few Daily Dex posts ago I was like "I wanna do these a bit more on a schedule" and then got distracted by time off work, going to a few movies, cleaning my house etc so - here's fucking eight pokemon I drew over the last week+, finally...

The bar for not engaging with media that directly supports genocide is in hell, apparently Photos unrelated, thought we could use some pretty. Here's Monday's sunset. I don't have a greater throughline here or moral but I kinda needed to just put some thoughts down. This week, worker-owned gaming news site Aftermath...

Finally had a Gundam film showing at a theater close to where I live after like 30 years of watching this franchise Thursday night I saw Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nypmh Circe in theaters. It's a weird experience seeing a new release from a franchise that's meant a lot to you throughout your life in...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop This week has marked some of the first times I've not had the post-5pm "long covid crash" since I got sick back in March. I'm trying not to push myself but I've actually had energy?? and it's been WILD to think about how much of the last almost...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop A slightly more managable haul for one blogpost - gonna try to get to a rhythm where I do these about 4 at a time but not more. It's been a while Keeping a fair amount of my blogging bandwidth (a personal metric, not a data one) taken up by drawing pokemon every day and then getting incredibly sick, I've noticed that some of my more prominent "post archetypes" if you will have fallen by the wayside. Just at a casual glance, it's been a...

I'm still recovering from long covid and I've also been dealing with a huge work project that involved some weekend work and long nights and I'm happy to say that not only is that done (and I'm taking a 5 day weekend around...

I was introduced to the Showa-era dubbed Godzilla films ("GODZILLER!") very young by my older brother and my cousin and that canon event permanently adjusted my brain chemistry so that a radioactive lizard created as a metaphor for the...

Please enjoy! Fri 05/01/2026...

Small thoughts about a small holiday turned large The fact that it started as "an important historical military victory in another country" and has become effectively the most prominent celebration of Mexican culture in the United States over the course of my lifetime is just WILD. And this is kinda in stark...

Birdchosting to the max, my friends This morning while I was taking out my AM litter haul (living with this many cats you do multiple empties per day) I heard more birdsong than usual, and it sounded a little distressed. Upon closer inspection: They were flomping around on the ground violently and I was really...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Tues 04/28/2026 - Ninjask Man, I love a bug in a sentai mask. I get that a lot of sentai masks are like, bug adjacent anyway but it's just cool. Never had one of these in a game but I'll def be on the lookout in titles where they're present. Weds...
