More plum blossoms, this time in the (small) precincts of Nishiki Tenmangu, the shrine of Kyoto's famous Nishiki Market. 京都の有名な錦市場を守る錦天満宮の（小さな）境内の梅の花。
Ume plum blossoms at dusk. Lights from some of Kurumazaki Jinja's small sub-shrines glow in the distance. 夕暮れの梅の花。車折神社の小さな神社の灯りが遠くに見える。
White and pink Ume plum blossoms are starting to appear at Seiryo-ji temple and elsewhere around town. 清涼寺や街のあちこちで、白やピンクの梅の花が咲き始めている。
The sanmon (entrance gate) of this Buddhist temple in Okazaki, with its elegant tiled roof and traditional wooden plaque. Through the gateway, the temple grounds and buildings are visible beyond. 岡崎にある仏教寺院の山門。美しい瓦屋根と伝統的な扁額が特徴。

A maiko throws bags of soybeans into the crowd, used to drive away evil spirits on Setsubun, a traditional holiday celebrating the end of winter. Taken at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. 節分で、舞妓が邪気を払うための大豆の袋を群衆に投げ入れる。節分は冬の終わりを祝う伝統的な行事である。北野天満宮にて撮影。
