Britt Coxon
Hi, I’m Britt Coxon (she/her or they/them). I’m a multidisciplinary visual artist based in North East England, making things for web and print. Things I do include painting illustration, graphic design, websites, papercraft, music, photography, comics and zines. My work has a collaborative and communication focus, often resulting from workshops, consultations with educators or interactions with the public. My work explores communication, mental health, self-empowerment, community and understanding. I love working both digitally and with pen and paper, the most satisfying part of my work is being able to combine analogue and digital in interesting ways to create something unique.

This month’s IndieWeb Carnival is hosted by James, who has chosen the topic Museum memories. I love my local museums, most are part of North East Museums, which are free to enter and have a publicly accessible archive. I spent many...
It’s well past time for an IndieWeb Carnival post. This month, the theme is Intersecting Interests, chosen by Zachary Kai. I have trouble picking apart my interests to know if they are intersecting, or just the same thing in a different...
A very important questionnaire via Zachary Kai. This page is my tribute to the most reliable and versatile meal: sandwiches! A questionnaire exploring preferences and the joy of stuff between bread. Why don’t you answer it? A Sandwich...
We did it, the Paper Jam Comics Collective made another comic! In celebration of the collective turning 18 in 2025 we decided to do an anthology all about growing up. Imagine the many ways that title was interpreted… well you don’t have...
Zachary Kai recently asked if I’d like to be on a list of people willing to trade blog post titles. Of course I said yes, I really enjoyed our trade last year and would love to do more. Soon after James got in touch to offer a trade. I...
I have been holding on to some of these links for a while. December was a busy month and I needed most of January to be introverted. Let’s see what’s still relevant. Reading The Harvest Will Come by Joan Westenberg. This is from over a...
Back in October Zachary Kai resurrected the IndieWeb Book Club, choosing The Creative Act by Rick Rubin. I warned Zachary at the time that I’m a slow reader and it may take me a while to respond. With that sorted I started reading. I...
Also known as: bonus 2025 Sketchbook Highlights. Recently I’ve been on a classic anime hunt. This led me to Outlaw Star, it often played in proximity to Cowboy Bebop on Toonami in the UK but I never really got into it at the time. It’s...
One day I will learn to share a sketchbook as I fill it. One day. Today is not that day, the last five years have mostly not been that day. So here’s five years of interesting sketches all at once. Maybe 2026 will be the year I share as...
