I know, I know, two blog posts in one day what's become of me - but I had some disjointed thoughts about the discord announcement today that I needed to put somewhere. Enjoy. The things often left out of the age verification conversations Today Discord announced they're going to be moving towards mandatory photo ID...

That time we played a concert at "Super Bowl City" Note: This post originally appeared on cohost.org In 2016, Team San José reached out to my band and offered us a paid slot to play at 'Super Bowl City'. That sentence is infinitely funny to me because like, we generally got silo'd into nerd stuff being a partially...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Both yesterday and today were selections by the kids after loading up a random 6 and them selecting two and I gotta admit I don't think I was on my game for these. Sat 02/07/2026 - Naganadel An Ultra beast for Saturday which AFTER I'd finished was...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Weds 02/04/2026 - Horsea Ok that's enough ice types for now; I didn't intentionally mean to follow the ice types with a water type like some sort of metaphorical thaw (and the weather has not actually changed at all) but I was looking up something...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Tues 02/03/2026 - Glalie It's still ice types which means there's still more than 2 feet of snow outside here. In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Tues 01/27/2026 - Galarian Darumaka Tuesday's entry was brought to you by: Sticking with the ice types theme Finding yet another ice type that only exists in a regional variant of something that was not an ice type originally Also I wanna specify...

Cannot express how happy I am About a week and a half ago I noticed a snowflake at the end of the 10-day forecast. It started as a whopping 6-8 inches predicted for that upcoming Sunday which was pretty fucking great for actual snow coverage where I live; some years we've gotten a total of like 12 for the entire...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Mon 01/26/2026 - Alolan Sandshrew I was thinking more about ice / snow themed pokemon (since our official tally as of this writing is that we got THREE FEET of snow) and my kid reminded me that Sandshrew's Alolan variant is ice/steel so I locked...
