In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop But first, a word from our sponsors: the horrors I'd started working on this post shortly after finishing yesterday's (1/24)'s drawing - right before I saw the news about yet again, ICE agents executing someone on the street. There is video of...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Weds 01/21/2026 - Meowstic Meowtic was specifically requested yesterday but the gender was left up to me so I decided with a coin toss. Thurs 01/22/2026 - Hisuian Zorark Another request! Today's was Zoroark and like, no offense to the OG design but...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Mon 01/19/2026 - Mareanie Monday's entry was suggest by one of my kids purely based on the ridiculousness of this thing in the Sun and Moon anime show. Bulbapedia helpfully tells us that this creature's name may originate from the word 'Meanie' and...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Sat 01/17/2026 - Phanpy In the past I've criticized the pokemon company for some of their seemingly odd choices for pokemon typing but you know what? I think it's brave to have a blue-ish elephant and NOT make it a water type. I'm proud of them....

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Fri 01/16/2026 - Shuppet I think I've found the one ghost type pokemon that isn't abjectly horrifying. I don't mean in like a visual appearance way, I mean in lore terms where most of them are like the lost souls of dead children, survive by...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Thurs 01/15/0226 - Slakoth One of our cats' names is Sloth; he's a good cat. While petting him, had the thought "I wonder if there is a Sloth pokemon" - Slakoth is what first came up which like tracks in terms of both name and design...but it's...

BUT! There are things I can do and control and I'm very...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Tues 01/13/2026 - Joltik One of the first things I saw today online was this post from Sol that made me openly guffaw so I let him pick today's pokemon - and I got to learn something! I'd never seen this guy before, it's super cute. Plus I don't...

Catching up on editing; here is the Wolf Moon from last week I didn't think I'd get any actual shots because it was partially cloudy but also the point of highest visibility it was obscured by trees; less than ten minutes later though: Sometimes it works out like that, y'know? moon photography

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Sun 01/11/2026 - Deoxys I know I said we'd be back to RNG for today but I got a special request for Deoxys from Noé and given the "just kiss already" ongoing fights between Deoxys and Rayquaza (yesterday's entry) it felt fitting. One more locked in...
