In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Thurs 01/08/2026 - Gardevoir I put out calls yesterday for our remaining two gen 3 icons for this week's AGDQ coverage (the event's finale game Saturday night will be Pokemon Emerald) and Gardevoir was first! Tomorrow's (a secret) is alreayd locked...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Weds 01/07/2026 - Treecko AGDQ week continues! Here's our final starter from Gen 3, and what a little guy it is! Starting as an unassuming gecko, evolving into a 'feathered raptor but the feathers are leaves' and then finally into a stoned-looking...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Tues 01/06/2026 - Torchic Continuing our Awesome Games Done Quick coverage this week, here's the next Gen 3 starter; the cute fire chocobo chick whose evolutionary path is probably one of the most regrettable of any starter. I could be wrong! I'm...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Mon 01/05/2026 - Mudkip In honor of Awesome Games Done Quick running this week and the finale game on the schedule being Pokemon Emerald, this week I'll be focusing on pokemon from Gen 3; I figured I should start with the starters and go from...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Fri 01/02/2026 - Azelf RNG for Friday's entry and we were greeted by one of the heralds of Arceus themselves. I can't help that from a design standpoint it reeks of "We have Mew at home, let's give it two tails and a shark-fin head to make it look...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Weds 12/31/2025 - Blacephalon Happy new year - I looked up "the firework pokemon" and I'm not sure what I was expecting but this wasn't it. Weird clown-like ultrabeast? What the hell even is this thing!! Next new years (if I'm still doing this)...

New Techos, Moons, A sick as hell photo of a cat named Possum, and musings on celebrating your accomplishments at the end of the year Finally, some good fucking snow Leading up to December, I thought a lot about doing a year end round-up of stuff I did this year; favorite photos I took, songs I worked on, progress...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Sun 12/28/2025 - Fennekin Inspired by my trip to Lumiose for Z-A, I started a fresh save of Pokemon X to play through casually as time allows and started with a Fennekin. I named them TALLFOX, which is the nickname we gave to the (you'll never...

You know the drill!! One subject, three lenses I think all told I photographed the moon less than 12 times this year; that's bonkers compared to 2024 which was more than double that easily. I know life's been weird but there's something to be said about end of year looking back and realizing how much or little I did...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Thurs 12/25/2025 - Delibird I don't know how often I'll try to do 'thematic' pokemon selections (especially since I'm gonna get limited in that regard) but for christmas I left it up to the kids; they picked Staryu (symbolic for a tree topper) or...

In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop Tues 12/23/2025 - Tyrunt This was the first fossil pokemon I got in Z-A; I named him Grumpus and he was part of my team for a pretty long time (and is still my rock type backup when needed for bonus cards in the battle zone). He's a Tyrantrum now...

Jump-scared by an update for a dead game Steam has this 'What's new' section on your library page; it highlights developer posts, patches for things you actively play etc - and this morning I noticed there was one for Hyper Light Breaker that was posted yesterday. This is confusing for a lot of reasons but mostly...
