I subscribe to Anime News Network’s feed. I saw the following headline: My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha TV Anime Reveals 5 More Cast Members, 2nd Promo Video. I have a problem with this headline: One “9” too many. The late great Herman Cain taught us that “999” is the perfect number (or plan). I have dedicated The...
Replied to Firefox AI by cybrkyd (Cybrkyd) AI is creeping into my beloved Firefox I use Firefox. I have mostly missed its new “AI features,” but a good post by Cybrkid alerted me to Firefox’s newest in-development AI “feature”: AI Window. Cybrkid is (correctly) nonplussed about this new feature and linked to good...
Five days ago, I wrote about ordering Copper Moon White Christmas coffee after an entry in my feed reader caught my attention. The coffee has arrived. It arrived as promised, well packaged and all. I appreciate the little postcard with the signature of the person who packed my coffee. I still have to finish a few...
After finishing chapter 1 of Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE: Encore, I learned that there are between-chapter intermissions. The intermission allows you to roam around town, complete side-quests, and train. I continue from where I left off in my chapter 1 review to offer my first intermission impressions. Kiria was added...
I read that Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham scored 46 points on 45 field goal attempts in a 137-135 ovetime win over the Washington Wizards on November 10, 2025. This story reminded me of Hall of Fame forward Chris Webber. I recalled that back when I watched the NBA, Mr. Webber had a similarly inefficient high...
Three years to the day, I covered the first Veterans Day Proclamation, issued by then-President Dwight Eisenhower 71 years to the day. The proclamations continue. On November 10, 2025, President Donald Trump proclaimed today, November 11, 2025, Veterans Day (see Proclamation). From the Proclamation: The story of...
I finished chapter one of Tokyo Mirage Sessions: FE just over three weeks after completing the prologue. I published a short “impressions” post after finishing the prologue (see Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE: Prologue Impressions). Now I will do the same for chapter 1. I continue to be unimpressed with the writing. It is...
Anime News Network reports that “The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie, the compilation film of the television anime … will get a theatrical elease in the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and additional Central American territories, among more areas.” The film will debut in Japan on February...
Over on Brain Baking, Wouter Groeneveld offered a critique of the thumbs up reaction emoji, noting correctly that it is an at best ambiguous response to substantive messages. I largely agree with his general critique of emojis and emoji reactions: “Instead of adding context, by, you know, using words, like these,...
From a November 4, 2025 CNBC report: Perplexity AI accused Amazon of “bullying” on Tuesday after it received a letter from the e-commerce giant demanding it prevent people from using its artificial intelligence browser Comet to make purchases on their behalf. I do not often agree with Amazon on these sorts of...
