I am a 25 year old from Toronto, Canada. I’m a geek. I love movies, TV, Dungeons & Dragons and pretty much anything computer-related.

I like to collect information. On any given day, tens (hundreds?) of questions pop into my mind that I am curious about. I try to infer answers from what I already know, and then I do a bit of research to see if I’m right. I always learn something! This blog is a collection of things I’ve researched and learned. I don’t always do deep research, which means the topics covered are sometimes quite surface-level. Just enough to satisfy my curiosity, hence “plausible” in the title. While these posts are based on what I’ve read elsewhere on the internet, they may not give the full picture. Humans can make mistakes, but it's more fun reading mistakes from humans than mistakes from LLMs.

I am Victor, a software developer from Germany. I use this blog to structure my thoughts or think them to a conclusion. Some topics are more intuitively written, while others have more research behind them. I will tag them accordingly in the future. The name of my blog comes from the fact that I often write my thoughts about a topic in my journal first and later extract it to a blog post.

I run the blogging service, Pika, and I have been blogging since 2004. My blog is mostly personal in nature, touching on technical, pop culture, and other things along the way.

I'm a developer living in Los Angeles, CA. I previously co-founded HashiCorp. Today I spend most of my time working on Ghostty, a new terminal emulator. I was part of the initial engineering team behind most of the HashiCorp products, such as Vagrant, Packer, Consul, Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Waypoint, and more. I don't work on any of those projects anymore. I was CEO for ~4 years, CTO for ~5 years, an individual contributor for ~2 years, and then left the company in 2023. I fly airplanes. ✈️ I'm an FAA licensed private pilot with an instrument rating (PPL ASEL IR). I currently fly a Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet. I frequently share pictures of my flights.
