I’m a software developer. I live in Montreal. I sometimes give talks. Most of my income comes from my programming zines business Wizard Zines. I have one main opinion about programming, which is that deeply understanding the underlying systems you use (the browser, the kernel, the operating system, the network layers, your database, HTTP, whatever you’re running on top of) is essential if you want to do technically innovative work and be able to solve hard problems.

Hey! Kenan here, hardware engineer, focused on power electronics. I believe everyone should have their own place in web and freely express themselves the way they want. This is therefore my place where I blog about software and other things that interest me. I write mostly for myself, but maybe you find them interesting too. This site is constantly being re-designed and re-organized, because it is serving me as a playground for my dabbling as well.

Candost's Blog

I used to think that reading would make me wise. One day, ten pages before finishing a book, I realized that I had read that same book before. At that point, my perspective on reading and, therefore, my life had changed. Now, I don’t care how many books I read; I take many notes, connect dots, and share what I’ve found on my blog and newsletter. I’m interested in many things at the same time (I’m a multipotentialite). On this blog, you’ll find me talking to about multiple aspects of life like leadership, software engineering, philosophy, psychology, software architecture & design, urban & industrial design, exercising, finance, Formula1 Racing, eating healthy, and many more. I’m a software engineering manager; that’s my current job. At home, I’m a writer and an avid reader. I rarely watch TV, movies or TV series. I don’t have any social media account (except Mastodon where I have automated posting of my new articles). Hence, I often miss the popular culture references in conversations. That’s alright. I don’t have FOMO; I embrace JOMO. I rarely read fictional books.

Hi, I’m Eric or @cyanbane, I have been writing on the internet since before the “internet” When I was 12, I started my first BBS and started interacting with others on what would eventually become the web today. Door games, hacking and phreaking texts, warez, gamez, and ASCII Art were fantastic and hooked me from a young age. I eventually took up Visual Basic 6 to create a Dungeons & Dragons character generator, and here I am 30 years later, still loving coding. I am a coder by trade and have had this blog for over two decades. It has evolved over time and interests, and I have found myself multiple times just canning all of it and going back and starting it fresh. The site you are viewing now is probably about my 30th iteration, and it is slowly coming up on it's 25th anniversary. Welcome to it.

Hlo, I am an ML engineer and computer programmer currently living in Bangalore, India. Even beyond that, I am interested in the mysteries of life, consciousness, and languages.
