Esther Crain
Ephemeral New York, founded and edited by native New Yorker Esther Crain, chronicles a constantly reinvented city through photos, newspaper archives, and other scraps and artifacts that have been edged into New York’s collective remainder bin. Here we remember forgotten people, places, and relics of the way New Yorkers used to live. We get a big kick out of present-day urban weirdness and idiosyncrasies too.
Emily B True
Growing up, I spent my days outside on a tree stump that was my fairy fort. It was surrounded by wildflowers and tall grass, shaded by trees, and visited by creatures of all kinds. It felt cozy and alive. I try to capture that feeling the best way I know how– to describe it in a painting. I’m always moving toward a life that’s more symbiotic with people, animals, plants and the other living things that I cross paths with every day. I currently reside in a cozy studio in NYC with my dog.

Kaijuville is a newsletter that's really more like an oldsletter: a weekly writeup (or occasional comic strip) about interesting things found in digital archives that stand the test of time.
Mitchell Hashimoto
I'm a developer living in Los Angeles, CA. I previously co-founded HashiCorp. Today I spend most of my time working on Ghostty, a new terminal emulator. I was part of the initial engineering team behind most of the HashiCorp products, such as Vagrant, Packer, Consul, Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Waypoint, and more. I don't work on any of those projects anymore. I was CEO for ~4 years, CTO for ~5 years, an individual contributor for ~2 years, and then left the company in 2023. I fly airplanes. ✈️ I'm an FAA licensed private pilot with an instrument rating (PPL ASEL IR). I currently fly a Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet. I frequently share pictures of my flights.

Jason Velazquez
What's up, weirdos. I'm Jason. Welcome to my digital garden. I'm happy you're here. Please make yourself comfortable. By day, I'm a digital freelancer, copywriter, uncle, and cheese danish sommelier. By night, I drink the blood of my enemies in an old Mountain Dew bottle I found in a Buc-ee's bathroom. Kidding. I'm just a guy who likes to blog about technology, design, the web, and anything I'm hyper fixated on at the time.
